Postcards I’ll never send

Postcards I’ll never send

One of my favourite bloggers is Love Taza and she writes a feature called Little Letters where she basically writes little letters to anyone and anything she has a little message for.

It’s a simple idea and doesn’t sound that interesting but it’s one of my favourite features on her blog so I thought I’d give it a go doing my own.

I sometimes have so many little ideas, random thoughts or tiny updates to tell you guys. I put them on Twitter but I know they’re lost almost instantly. Sometimes these ideas are big enough to form a blog post all on their own but, most of the time, they’re just fleeting thoughts that are gone before I’ve even grasped them.

So here are some of those thoughts. If you like it, I’ll do it again.

A little update so you’re not too confused, I’ve just returned from a yoga retreat in Fuerteventura with Azul Fit. I had a fabulous time!

Dear Cabin Max

Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to create my own suitcase. I’ve never felt prouder pulling a suitcase through the airport as I did when I tested it out flying to Fuerteventura.

Dear everyone at Azul Fit,

Some people have the ability to make you feel at home the moment they open the door. You are all those kinda people.

Dear Jo at Azul Fit,

You made me feel as strong and fit as I did before I had my babies. You also reignited my passion for Pilates – a gift I’m sure I’ll still be thanking you for in 20 years time.

Dear Cheeky Ice Cream in El Cotillo,

You were worth breaking the Azul Fit detox for 😉

Dear guys in this Instagram picture,

You are so lucky to call this place home and thanks for posing when you spotted my camera!

Dear Ladies in my group at Azul Fit,

You were my family for one week and I’ll never forget you all. You were such an inspiring and wonderful group and it wouldn’t have been the same without you.

Dear Readers,

I’d be eternally grateful if you could send a cheeky vote my way in the Bloggers Blog Awards. You don’t need to vote in all categories if you only read travel blogs! In the past I’ve been terrible about nominating myself for blog awards. It feels weird but I know I need to be my own publicity person (Elizabeth keeps telling me I need to!) so here goes!

Dear Tooth Fairy,

I have two little boys who are teething. Can you help a mother out and get this over and done with? I need some sleep.

Dear Gmail,

Is there anything you can do about my inbox this week? Like accidentally delete everything so I don’t need to deal with all those unopened emails that are terrifying me.

Dear Sam,

I can’t wait for you to come home from that stag-do in Ibiza. I know you’ll be a hungover mess but looking after two little boys on your own is tough and I’m eternally grateful that you never complain when I leave you all at home while I travel.

Dear Grandma and Grandad,

You’d be proud, I bought a caravan! I know, I’ve shocked myself too. I’m glad no one laughed at me when I said that having kids wouldn’t change the way I travel but it has and I can’t wait for the simplicity of having a mini home on wheels.

Dear Mr Hoover,

Thank you for creating the Hoover Cordless Stick. I know I’m such a mum for even writing this but, seriously, best thing I’ve bought for the house. It even makes George want to clean!

Dear the Mail on Sunday,

It was exciting to be featured in the Mail on Sunday. But you lived up to every stereotype for the newspaper and got virtually 70% of the facts in this article wrong.

Dear Sam,

I’m sorry they called you Matt Shannon in the article above.

Dear Hair,

I don’t know what to do with you. You’re too long and you’re too wild. It took me 10 years to get you long again and now I don’t want you, but I know I’ll miss you the second I chop you off.

Dear Timisoara in Romania,

I’m coming to see you on Friday. Can’t wait to meet you!

xxx

Like everyone else, I laughed out loud at the 'Dear Sam, Sorry they called you Matt Shannon' message. They got that real wrong, like not even 'oops I couldn't understand my own handwriting wrong'. Love this concept though!

Ah I love this idea!! What a fun post and a great opportunity to share those little moments. If gmail could do the same for me that'd be great ;)

You should! It was really fun to write. I have so many ideas for more little 'postcards' now too.
