My favourite travel vloggers

My favourite travel vloggers

Vlogging, or video blogging, has become my latest obsession. I’ve always loved being able to read about other people’s travel adventures but being able to watch their adventures is even better. The only problem with travel vlogging is that it’s hard, really hard, so there aren’t many great travel vloggers in comparison to the number of brilliant regular bloggers. For the past few weeks I’ve been scouring YouTube and Vimeo in search of awesome travel vloggers and here are some of my favourites.

Booker Travels

It isn’t very often that I’m glued to a long video from start to finish. Admittedly, I have a short attention span (I blame the internet) but I’ve watched pretty much all of Booker Travels’ videos all the way through and even gone back and watched them again. They. Are. Gorgeous! You’d never guess they’re made by a tenth grade teenager and he’s great on camera too. [divider type=””]

This World Rocks

Yes, this world does rock and the lovely couple behind This World Rocks have managed to capture it perfectly. I love this beautiful that Dan created for Elissa after they’d been travelling around the world for 12 months. I can’t think of a better travel souvenir. [divider type=””]

Wander the Map

This video from Iceland is so beautiful but I also love the simplicity of it. Video making doesn’t need to be complicated. Simple shots and a great sound track combined with great editing can lead to a brilliant video. [divider type=””]

Travel Yourself

Cailin is so much fun and this really shines through in her travel vlogs. She makes great 1 minute guides to different cities but I particularly like this video with sloths. It’s so cute! [divider type=””]

Hey Nadine

If it’s possible to be funny, pretty, silly, interesting, adventurous and totally crazy all at the same time then Nadine does it. Nadine is what I’d consider to be a traditional vlogger with lots of one-armed selfies and chatting to the camera like she’s talking to her mates. You feel like you’re getting the real and authentic travel experience and I love this video [divider type=””]

Sonia’s Travels

Sonia’s travel videos are really professionally made. I love the fact that they’re fun and interesting but they also make travel guides as Sonia shares brilliant travel advice and tips. [divider type=””]

TravelVox

All of the videos on Travel Vox have this peaceful and magical quality that I love. They’re really well made and well edited but they also have something about them that makes me think, ‘Hmm, maybe I could do that…?’ These videos are perfect inspiration for anyone who is thinking about making their own travel videos. [divider type=””]

Migrationology

If you’re looking for some serious food porn then you can’t go wrong with Mark Weins’ mouth-watering foodie videos. Capturing a meal on camera is really tough but Mark makes everything look delicious. He encourages people to be adventurous with their foodie choices and a lot of his videos are about food I’ve never heard of before so you can learn something new too. [divider type=””]

Courtney Scott

Courtney isn’t exactly a vlogger but she’s more of a video host and hosts videos for Travelocity. Still, I had to include her on the list because I love her videos. She’s a natural on camera and is always doing cool stuff that makes you want to get up and travel the world. [divider type=””] One of the reasons I’ve become so interested in travel vlogging recently is because I’d like to start making my own travel vlogs. I’ve been looking at all of these videos for inspiration, tips and motivation so I can finally dip my toe into the world of vlogging. I’ve asked some of my favourite video bloggers for their top tips for making videos and they’ve come back to me with some brilliant ideas and suggestions. I’ll be sharing all their awesome advice next week so sign up for email updates so you don’t miss it!

Awesome list! I've been doing some vlogging myself and there are so so many underrated travel channels out there! I'm glad you shared you favourites, there are a couple there I didn't know!

PS: I've made a similar list on my site too, in case you need even more people to watch!

Think we're subscribed to every one of them! We're also two travel vloggers who have a travel show called Shut Up and Go, where we tell people to stop making all those damn excuses and to...shut up and go! Would love to be included in the list!
