Have you heard about FG Properties Apartment Rental in London?

Have you heard about FG Properties Apartment Rental in London?

I’m always on the lookout for nice but affordable places to stay in London. Now, there’s two words that don’t go together so well in the Big Smoke.

Nice + affordable is difficult to find in London so today I’d like to introduce you to FG Properties.

FG Properties offers short-term apartment rental in London and now Paris, Amsterdam and Rome too.

There’s a huge range of furnished apartments that offer something much more interesting than a standard hotel. Many of them are luxurious, unusual, homey and spacious – 4 things you’re unlikely to find in a hotel for a similar price!

If you’re travelling in a small group it’s much more affordable than staying in a hotel. You also have the added bonus of communal spaces, a comfortable living room and a fully equipped kitchen.

Review: My experience with FG Properties

I stayed in this apartment with FG Properties while I was in London a few weeks ago for World Travel Market. I wanted something fairly central as I knew I’d be going to evening events all over the city. I also wanted somewhere comfortable and cozy to relax after a busy day.

The apartment ticked all the boxes and was a perfect crash pad.

I found the apartment to be a little sparsely furnished. There are no pictures on the walls so it doesn’t feel very homey. Despite this, it was clean, warm and comfortable with fluffy towels and comfy bedding.

I arranged to meet the guy from FG Properties at 10pm – the latest you can check into a property. I waited outside the apartment for 10 minutes before phoning him and found he was at the wrong property. It was another 10 minutes before he arrived. This wasn’t the end of the world – I was with Vicky Flip Flop and we were having a long-overdue catch up – but if it was raining or I was alone I wouldn’t have been happy about waiting 20 minutes in the dark in an unfamiliar part of London.

Overall, the booking, checking in and checking out was very simple. When I left I simply placed the keys on the living room table and locked the door behind me.

I’d recommend using FG Properties if you’re travelling in a small group as you get the best value for money when you’re in a larger property.

My stay with FG Properties was complimentary for the purpose of this review but, as always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Our stay at Fg proper has been an horror story and is not over yet . There was a leakage of gas last night in our apartment and we had to evacuate it . We were taken to a filthy place to spend the night . We are now back to our original apartment to collect our baggage but have been wa?ting outside for the past 1 hr for the keys . The keys they gave us d?d not work !

Stella, I am sorry but I dont really share your view... please let me know where you can find a double bedroom of ~45sqm (fully equipped) for 100gbp per night (i.e.50gbp each) in CENTRAL LONDON, HOLLAND PARK NOTTING HILL ETC ....

I visited the website and the prices are high. With these rates I prefer to book a hotel for a few days.

I've found that if you're travelling solo or you're a couple sharing a bedroom then a hotel is cheaper - or similar if you're going for the same standard. But if you're in a small group then an apartment works out quite a lot cheaper.

It looks like a flat that's not quite been finished! It definitely could have done with a few pictures and a rug! But good to know an alternative to staying in a hotel. Thanks.

That's what I thought. You don't realise how important the little 'finishing off' touches are until they're not there!

Dear Monica, the apartment looks really nice and very clean. I was wandering if FC Properties works more or less like AirB&B or if it´s completely different. Anyway: good to know that we have this choice as well!

Yes, it's similar to airbnb but these properties don't seem to be people's homes. A lot of airbnb properties are actually lived in by people but they'll move out when they have guests booked in. Based on my apartment and looking at the website, these definitely aren't lived in.
