Weekend Reads and my next adventure

It’s been a couple of weeks since my last Weekend Reads because I’ve been such a busy bee travelling in the USA. I had the most incredible time as I travelled from Miami to LA and then road tripped around California and Nevada. There were a few places that I knew I’d love but there were so many places in between that blew me away. I love finding unexpected gems while I’m travelling and somehow the lack of expectation makes you appreciate it even more. I’ll be writing all about these places over the next few weeks.

Morocco is one of the most exciting and interesting places I’ve ever visited and is still one of my favourite destinations. I think it’s because I loved it more than I ever expected to. Michael Turtle, from Time Travel Turtle, has written a great guide to Marrakech, a city which is most traveller’s first introduction to Morocco.

My next adventure…

And now for the exciting part. Next week I’m going to the Caribbean! I leave on Tuesday for a trip to Barbados and St Kitts.

The trip has been organized by Time Out London and British Airways and I’ll also be writing a summary of my trip for the Time Out magazine. I’ve been an avid reader of Timeout since I first moved to London so I’m pretty exciting to see my name and my face in print.

If you want to follow my trip then you can find all of my live updates on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. There will also be a live social media wall Timeout.com that will bring all my social updates together so I’ll share the URL as soon as I know it.

Wow, Barbados and St Kitts will be awesome. I went to Barbados on school trip for a sports tour (I know!) although we were thrashed by the under 12 team as they were all miles taller than us all! It is beautiful and make sure to try Mount Gay rum. Enjoy!

Wow, Barbados on a school trip, that’s amazing!
I’m not going to be visiting Mount Gay this time but I went to Barbados last year too and went then. So much fun, especially after a few samples!

That’s so exciting you’re going to the Caribbean! I’ve lived in the south of the US my entire life and still haven’t made it there. It’s only about a 2-3 hour flight from Atlanta! Oh well, I’ll follow your adventure and pretend I’m there!
