Friday Follow: Top Travel Bloggers to Look Out For in 2012

Starting next Friday I will be interviewing my favourite travel bloggers in a Friday Follow feature. I’m hoping to highlight some great lesser known bloggers and also help you get to know your favourites a little better. I’m kicking off this feature with 10 of my favourites that you should be looking out for in 2012.

1. Backpacker Banter

Chris never fails to make me laugh with his laid back, surfer dude attitude. He also has some really exciting travels planned which began yesterday when he flew out to Ecuador to be a surfing instructor for 3 months. This boy will have some serious tales to tell!

2. Pack Your Passport

Beverley’s posts are honest, heartfelt and funny and more than anything – they make me want to jump on a plane and head back to Oz! She also has some great travels planned and I can’t wait to see what she has in store next year.

3. Fly Away Birdie

With some gorgeous photography and a stylish twist, Birdie’s blog is a bit quirky and a bit different.

4. A fashionable Guide to

Sarah’s site will be launching in February and I actually can’t wait. Fashion + travel + lovely stylish things – what’s not to love about it?

5. Nomadic Samuel

Samuel’s photography never fails to put a smile on my face and I love his writing too.

6. Backpacks and Bunkbeds

I can’t believe how quickly Neil’s site has grown and he seems to have a bottomless pit of stories and tips.

7. The Wanderlust Project

Sheryl’s trip didn’t start long ago but she regularly posts gorgeous photos from her European adventures – all of which are making me very jealous! If this doesn’t inspire some serious wanderlust, I don’t know what will.

8. Girl and the World

When a single blog post gets over 100 comments you know that blogger is worth keeping an eye on. With her controversial Korean interview and exciting plans for 2012 you should definitely check this lady out!

9. 25 Travels

25 countries before 25 – Jerrick has one year to go and he’s almost there.

10. Cookiesound is Travelling

This mother/daughter photography duo travel the world while capturing their memories on camera and they manage to make every single moment look beautiful – love this blog.

Massive thanks to all these bloggers who make my journey to and from work much more enjoyable! If you know of any more top bloggers to look out for in 2012, let me know in the comments below!
