Anyone that follows me on Twitter will know that I read a lot of blogs. I love nothing more than spending half an hour each morning with a pot of tea and my iPad as I flick through my favourite blogs. Then if I can spend a couple of hours reading on a lazy Sunday morning while munching my way through croissants and bacon butties, even better!
Here are some of my favourite posts this week. If you’re a blogger and you’ve posted something awesome this week, please do leave your link in the comments below!
Nutella Baked Wontons {Wanderlust and Bake}
I’ve been swooning over a new blog this week called Wanderlust and Bake. Seriously, travelling and baking, what’s not to love? Abbey is a foodie with a case of wanderlust and she manages to combine the two perfectly. Baked Nutella Wontons are one of my favourite recipes on the site and even I’d be able to create these ‘little parcels of decadence’.
What is your responsibility as a traveler? {Twenty-Something Travels}
This is a really thought provoking blog and it will strike a cord with anyone who has travelled in developing countries and wondered if you’re doing more harm than good. ‘In the internet age, ignorance isn’t really an excuse.’
Iceland’s Strokkur Geyser {Selena the Places}
Iceland really is a drama queen and Selena captures the drama, the beauty and the landscapes perfectly in this post. I particularly love her short videos that leave you feeling really tense while you wait for the geysers to erupt.
Toast: Four Ways {Cupcakes and Cashmere}
This is just a quicky because I’m really impressed by anyone who manages to make me drool over toast. Why doesn’t my toast look like this? This has given me some inspiration to get away from my standard strawberry jam and be a little more adventurous in the toast department.
On Young Industries (Part 1): Blogging {A Beautiful Mess}
This is a must-read for anyone who has an interest in the blogging world. They’re looking at blogging as an industry, where it may go in the future and a few tips to make sure you’re still involved in future of blogging. “There are a million different ways to blog, so choose the one you would want to read.” Fabulous advice ladies.
VIDEO: The Best of Nicaragua {Booker Travels}
It’s not very often that a video has been entranced for the entire 9 minutes and 46 seconds. I love that this video isn’t all about the buildings you should see or the tourist attractions but it’s about enjoying the natural beauty of Nicaragua and it’s totally made me want to go.
Simple Ways to be a Fashionable Traveller {The Love Assembly}
There are some great tips here that prove you don’t need to live in cargo pants and hiking boots when you travel, you are allowed to add some stylish items into your case too! You can’t beat a red lippy to brighten up any outfit.
Travel is more than the seeing of sights {Intrepid Travel}
Here’s another gorgeous video but this time it’s from Intrepid who I’ve travelled with a couple of times. If this video doesn’t make you want to grab your backpack and travel the world then I don’t know what will.
