Hector Pieterson, famous photograph in Johannesburg

Hector Pieterson. An upsetting but iconic image on display in Johannesburg. Hector, aged 13, was shot dead in the Soweto uprising of 1976 when the police opened fire on protesting students.

I've always wanted to go to South Africa and these photos make me wanna go even more. It seems like all the best sunsets are in Africa.

It looks like you had an amazing trip, and you have some incredible photos to show for it! You're very lucky to have seen the big five - I've done 4 safaris in South Africa and still haven't seen leopard! Glad you were in luck!

The leopard was definitely a lucky spot, I've heard a lot of people say they didn't see one. I didn't realise how lucky we were to see it! And wow, lucky you going on 4 safaris in South Africa!

They really were so chilled out. I thought they'd run a mile when we got close but they're so used to the vehicle that they don't seem to mind you being close at all. They were just chilling out in the sunshine and loving life!
