A compilation of the best travel books – as shortlisted by Stanfords!

If you made it your New Year’s Resolution to read more this year then I have some of the best travel books for you. These travel books were all shortlisted for The Edward Stanford Travel Writing Awards. Yes, Stanford’s – that gorgeous store selling maps and books. There’s one in Covent Garden and one in Bristol and any travel book lover needs to check them out!

I used to work in Covent Garden and my office was above Stanford’s so I’d spend many a lunch time whiling away my free 30 minutes getting lost in beautiful maps and books while dreaming about far-off lands.

There are 43 titles shortlisted for The Edward Stanford Travel Writing Awards 2018 (although still as relevant today as they ever were!) and you these travel books will whisk you off to over 150 countries…
